Tired of the same old BOM? Looking to try something new? Want the chance to make your own creative choices?
Then the 2027 Block of the Month program is for you! For next year you will be given the power to choose which blocks you make, how scrappy the quilt is, even when you make your blocks. Think this not as a traditional BOM program but more as a helpful set of guidelines and friendly reminders to keep you on track throughout the year.
When you sign up you will receive basic information on the quilt layout, and some approximations for possible yardage requirements (because you get to choose how much color is used in the quilt, we can’t provide you with actual yardage requirements). Starting January 2nd, you will receive a PDF booklet with 30 different block patterns, along with a recommendation for the number of blocks, and their sizes, to make that month. From February through November you will receive monthly updates, a recommendation for the number of blocks to make that month (and occasionally a bonus block). In December you will receive full instructions for putting your quilt top together.
The quilt is planned to finish at 60” x 60”, but can be enlarged with borders or additional blocks.
All blocks are made using traditional piecing methods; you do not need to know FPP, EPP, or applique to complete any of the blocks.
